This page is to raise funds for Ovarian Cancer. I lost my mother to this awful disease on the 12th July 2018. Cancer in general, is an awful disease to be diagnosed with. After my mother passed away, I did a lot of research regarding her specific diagnosis, which was Metastatic Ovarian Cancer. Ovarian Cancer is misdiagnosed on a regular basis. Based on my mother's symptoms, she continually got handed prescriptions for laxatives. When finally diagnosed she was stage 3 of 4, although fighting the fight for 2 years, it was too late. When a woman is diagnosed at the earliest stage, her chance of surviving ovarian cancer for five years or more doubles from just 46 per cent to more than 90 per cent 3 Listen to your body ladies, push your GP to explore all symptoms and causes. My mother did this but to no avail, she paid the price. It is essential that this charity gets as much money as possible to fund research and train GP's to get a faster diagnosis, as it stands, it is massively underfunded compared to the other Cancer's. Can't even begin to explain how much I miss my mother, taken from this Earh way to soon!! 5th June 2019The fundraiser was completed on 25/5/19
The walk was 26 miles in total. Such a fun day to raise funds for this amazing cause. Weather was amazing, had great laugh along the way, always remembering why we were doing this. It was brutally hard around the16/18 mile mark, we all struggled!
Can't thank my friends enough for participating and powering through to the end. We have raised an amazing amount of money.

25th April 2019One month to go. My training is going very well despite picking up a slight knee injury last week. Will power through though. Everything is ready to go, route sorted, all participants have their t-shirts.
Just counting down the days now.
On behalf of myself and my family thank you to everyone that has donated so far, looking like we will smash the £500 target!! Still 2 months to go until the big fundraiser takes place so I'm sure the target will be smashed!
I've officially started training this week with a bit of running, just under 5 miles in 2 days, baby steps 😂 Legs haven't a clue what's going on 😂
